Moments I Love

These are some of the mom moments that I never want to forget! LOL
He is just so precious!
Xander loves his baths and he sometimes doesn't have the patience to get his clothes off before getting in. :)

Mom's attempt to keep the little monster busy while she makes dinner. Didn't last very long. :)
Savannah's favorite thing to take to show and tell!

And again!

Caught You Xander!  What am I going to do with him??

Sharing the I Pad!  I just love it when they share!! It makes me so proud!

 Love this silly, crazy girl!
How can I ever be angry with this adorable boy!
Hugs!!

Xander And Mommy Routine

The last few months, I've been trying to have a routine going for Xander to make sure that he gets his mommy and me time and for me to use some of the knowledge that I have learned from Kids On The Move. :)  We start after Savannah gets on her bus and we clean up from lunch. Then...

-Play outside/ with Xander's choice of toy or game/ or a planned activity
-Clean up
-Action songs ( the wheels on the bus, itsty-bitsty spider, bumble bee, (his favorite!)
-Art/ coloring book/ letters, numbers, shapes, colors
-Healthy snack
-Read books
-Try to get him to take a nap :)

It's been really fun and Xander loves it! We have been working on his colors lately. He thinks everything is green.  We have also been doing a lot of sensory activities! He has so much fun with it! His favorite sensory tub is digging for his dinosaurs! I love to play with him! He just has the biggest personality! Plus, he thinks he's a puppy or a dinosaur most of the time. :) He is too funny!

We tried shaving cream and he really didn't like that one. :( So, we washed it out and put some water in it!  For this one we were working on the color blue, so I put a ton of blue toys and brushes in it! I love these sensory buckets! they are so easy and it keeps your little ones busy for a while! I really want to try making colored rice next time! Another reason why I do this is that it distracts him from wanting and whining for food. That is something that Ive really been trying to work on, well forever! Xander especially is always hungry. He wakes up hungry, food is always on his mind, and he goes to bed hungry. I've been trying to keep them busy and distracted from thinking about food. It is so hard with him because he is always climbing up to the cabinets to sneak food.

Princess Savannah

Savannah just loves dressing up as a princess, because that is what she is. She loves for her hair to be long and down with a bow. She would wear this dress that my mom had gotten her for Easter every day. She loves the way it spends as she twirls.  And she loves wearing mommy's scarfs and necklaces. :) I just love it!! Most of the time if you were to see her walking in a dress she will be walking while holding up the sides of it like a princess! It is so cute!

She loves for me to read her princess books. She tell me that I am bell and she is Ariel. I just love it! And she knows that She and Ariel both have long beauitful red hair, blue eyes, and red lips! LOL

My Aunt Shelly is an amazing seamstress and she makes the cutest things. She made this adorable dress for Savannah and her doll, "Maggie!" She loves her Maggie! I picked the name but it is the first thing that she calls by a name other than what it is like, dog, baby, cat... This was a supper big step for her. Maggie is still the only doll or stuffed animal that has been named.   Savannah just loves anything with flowers and butterflies!

Crafty Savannah

Savannah and I like to have our craft time after she gets home from School. She loves to color, paint, the foamy sticker crafts, anything crafty! It works best if Xander is taking a nap. He doesn't like crafts, but he is really good at destroying them. :)

Savannah had her Read-A-Thon at her school.  She just loves books! Every night we read her favorite ones.  On the last day she got to wear her PJ's to school and bring her pillow, blanker, and she picked out a few of her books to take with her! She was so excited! She loves school and her teachers are amazing!

Playground

I have been such a slacker on my blog lately. I think that sometimes you just need to take a break brake from it. When I realized how much that I haven't posted I thought I should do some updating.

Up until this last week, it has been so nice outside! We've been enjoying it and taking walks and playing at parks.  The kids have been able to get some energy out and get some exercise! Xander is quite the climber! I barely got Savannah to go down this big slide once. She is scared of heights. But, she was so brave! Xander on the other hand didn't want any help and went up and down the slide again and again and again... lol :)  It is the best when no one else it at the park! We have so much fun!

Savannah's hobby is collecting rocks! I love this girl! :)

We made some snow paint! It was supper easy! Just water, squirt bottle, and food dye. The kids had a blast with it!

Xander has discovered that he loves to climb trees.

Rare Disease Day!

As you know, Savannah and Xander have a very rear disease, Bardet-Biedl Syndrome. Rare Disease Day February 28th. We will all wear our Two Little Reasons Shirt and blue ribbons, blue jeans,  and bracelets to show our love and support of our two beauitful rare children.  I hope that everyone will also wear jeans also to help spread awareness of rare diseases that many children and adults are living with, such as theirs. I want to spread HOPE and LOVE for these precious angels in our lives.

HOPE is in their GENES!!!

It's a good thing that you can't see what they are laughing at! I'm behind the camera jumping up and down, playing peek-a-boo with my scarf and making dinosaur sounds for Xander. :) It was so worth it!

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day!
Valentines Breakfast! Pink milk, honey due melon, and scones

Yes, That would be drool on Xander's shirt.

Xander wasn't in the mood for me to take pictures of him, but Savannah was more than willing!!

Savannah and I made Heart bubble Valentines for her class! She couldn't wait to give them to her, "boys and girls!"
