Xander's Halloween Parrot Costume

Court, Savannah, and I are going to be pirates for Halloween, and Xander is going to be our little parrot! I completely just "winged" this costume! I found these way cut leggings at Cherry Lane in Provo. One of the good things about Xander having such short legs, He fits into baby leggings and 6 to 9 month pants!

Materials:
1 yard Red Felt
3 sheets red felt
3 sheets yellow felt
Needle and thread
Elastic for the bottom
Leggings

I drew out a pattern. As you can see it took me a while to get the right shape. You want it to be big, after you sew it, it will be smaller.
Cut and pin. Sew, leaving a large hole for legs, two arm holes, and a neck whole large enough for your child's head to fit through.
Try it on to make sure it fits your child.
Cut out feathers and hand stitch them on.
Very simple!
