We make caramels every Christmas. It takes forever, but it's worth it, and that's why we only do it once a year. I've made five batches this year, That's five hours. I am done with making caramels!I got this caramel recipe out of my Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook. I'll post the recipe later when I have time.
Dipped Oreos in milk and white chocolate, with crushed candy canes sprinkled on top.

They were soooooo delicious!! Ben said the chocolate dipped oreos reminded him of the alfajores that they have in Argentina and he was totally loving them. Me too! I'll have to get your recipe. Homemade caramels are quite possibly my favorite thing in the world and yours were fabulous!! Like Mindy said, you are a amazing to find time to spread joy. Love you tons!!
