Homemade Easter Treats

I love making homemade candies and treats! Especially for Easter!! Besides, Christmas, Easter is my favorite holiday!

To help keep the chocolates from hardening, just put it in a glass of hot water.

To make more than one color just put the mold in the fridge for 5 to 10 minutes after each layer. If you completely cover the backs with chocolate it is simply too much chocolate. This was my first try at making resese pieces peanut butter cups. I put a layer of chocolate in the mold, then let it set in the fridge and then added the peanut butter mixture and covered it with the chocolate melting chips. They are so yummy!! Here's the recipe! I found it at WhatMeagan'

Peanut Butter Eggs

1 lb + 1 cup confectioner's sugar
2 sticks of butter, softened
1 1/2 cups peanut butter
1 lb melting chocolate, melted (I used chocolate discs from Michael’s)

Mix first three ingredients together well and form into egg shapes. Place in freezer and freeze until firm. Dip eggs into melted chocolate and place on waxed paper to set. You may have to re-freeze some of the eggs before dipping them if they start to get too soft.

Chocolate covered Oreo's!! Again, if I covered the backs, I think it would be too much chocolate.

I got to use my new baker's twine!!! I was so excited!! I am such a geek!

Savannah organized them for me! She's so sweet!I had so much fun making these!! I am using them a Easter teachers, and visiting gifts! They would be fun for Mother's Day too!!
