Homemade Easter Treats

I love making homemade candies and treats! Especially for Easter!! Besides, Christmas, Easter is my favorite holiday!

To help keep the chocolates from hardening, just put it in a glass of hot water.

To make more than one color just put the mold in the fridge for 5 to 10 minutes after each layer. If you completely cover the backs with chocolate it is simply too much chocolate. This was my first try at making resese pieces peanut butter cups. I put a layer of chocolate in the mold, then let it set in the fridge and then added the peanut butter mixture and covered it with the chocolate melting chips. They are so yummy!! Here's the recipe! I found it at WhatMeagan'sMaking.blogspot.com

Peanut Butter Eggs

Ingredients:

1 lb + 1 cup confectioner's sugar
2 sticks of butter, softened
1 1/2 cups peanut butter
1 lb melting chocolate, melted (I used chocolate discs from Michael’s)

Directions:

Mix first three ingredients together well and form into egg shapes. Place in freezer and freeze until firm. Dip eggs into melted chocolate and place on waxed paper to set. You may have to re-freeze some of the eggs before dipping them if they start to get too soft.

Chocolate covered Oreo's!! Again, if I covered the backs, I think it would be too much chocolate.

I got to use my new baker's twine!!! I was so excited!! I am such a geek!

Savannah organized them for me! She's so sweet!I had so much fun making these!! I am using them a Easter teachers, and visiting gifts! They would be fun for Mother's Day too!!

Hot Chocolate and Homemade Marshmallows in a Jar

These hot chocolate and marshmallows in a jar are one of my neighbor gifts that I am using this year! I love how fluffy the marshmallows churned out!I cheated and used Stevens Hot chocolate mix. Shhh! Don't tell!

Isn't that just awesome how the whole thing just comes out of the pan! It looks so neat!

I tossed the marshmallows in powdered sugar after I cut them out so that they worn't stick together!
The recipe and directions on how to make these springy, fluffy marshmallows are on smittenkitchen.com

Savannah and I had to make a cup for ourselves to try! I like to put my hot chocolate and marshmallows in the microwave for a bit to melt them! It is so good! You have to try it! And, I got to use my new cute mugs again!!!

Carmel Apples!

I love Carmel apples!!! These turned out so yummy!!
You will need to spray a cookie sheet with pam, and put popcicle sticks into each apple. I couldn't find mine so, I just used me candy sticks that I got from Roberts baking section a while ago. They worked great also!
I used our family Carmel recipe.
Toppings:(Dip your toppings fast onto each apple right after you dip them into the Carmel!)
Cinnamon
White chocolate
Milk chocolate
heath bits ( MY FAVORITE!)
resess piecess (crushed)
chocolate chips and peanut butter chips (Chopped)

Have fun with it!!!
