Homemade Lemonade

Savannah and Xander had so much fun squeezing the lemons! I love cooking with them!

For Savannah and Xander I fill their cups up with water and poor in just enough lemonade to make it yellow and give it the lemonade taste! I know I'm mean, but they don't even notice!

Homemade Lemonade ( Adapted from Simply Recipes)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Splenda
  • 1 cup water (for the simple syrup)
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 3 to 4 cups cold water (to dilute)

Method

1 Make simple syrup by heating the sugar and water in a small saucepan until the sugar is dissolved completely.

2 While the Splenda is dissolving, use a juicer to extract the juice from 4 to 6 lemons, enough for one cup of juice.

3 Add the juice and the Splenda water to a pitcher. Add 3 to 4 cups of cold water, more or less to the desired strength. Refrigerate 30 to 40 minutes. If the lemonade is a little sweet for your taste, add a little more straight lemon juice to it.

Serve with ice, sliced lemons.

Yield: Serves 6.

This is the best Lemonade recipe ever! You can't even tell that there isn't sugar in it!!

Vintage Rosette Cake Tutorial

This was my first time making a Rosette cake, so please don't look too closely! But, after I started it was really easy! I used a Wilton 1M tip. Hold your bag straight out as you make your rosette. Start from the center and go out.

They are the sweetest people that you'll ever meet. She is so fun and talented, and they are the most amazing and loving parents. I felt so honored to make this cake for them! Plus, it was so much fun!
