Labor Day Weekend

Grandma Love had all of he grand kids spend the night. They camped out in a tent, and watched movies. Savannah wanted to come back in the house to sleep at bedtime with Xander who, didn't sleep much.
In the morning, everyone came over for breakfast!



We rented a jump on it slide! It was so much fun, and it was huge! Savannah wouldn't go on it though.

Even the grownups joined the fun! The guys kinda teamed up against the girls, so if we didn't hurry up and go down the slide, we'd get pushed down.Court pushed me down a couple of times.


We had snow cones and Kool Aid popcorn!



Savannah loved sitting in her chair with her snow cone and watching everyone go down the slide!

Zoo

Saturday, we went to the Zoo with some friends of ours. It was so much fun!



Xander really loved riding in the wagon!

Savannah's princess crown is now officially broken. What are we going to do???

Cascade Springs

We love going up into the mountains as a family and going hiking or just go on nature walks on Sundays. A few Sundays ago we went to Cascade Springs. It is so beautiful and peaceful there!








I love going for drives though Provo canyon. The trees are so beautiful!

Kielbasa Apple Kabobs

Kielbasa Apple Kabobs

Ingredients

• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1 tablespoon cornstarch
• 3/4 cup cranberry juice
• 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
• 2 teaspoons soy sauce
• 1 pound smoked turkey kielbasa, cut into 1-1/2-inch pieces
• 2 medium tart apples, cut into wedges
• 1 medium sweet red pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
• 1 medium green pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces

Directions

• In a large saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Stir in cranberry juice, vinegar and soy sauce. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until thickened.
• On eight metal or soaked wooden skewers, alternately thread sausage, apples and peppers. Grill, uncovered, over indirect heat for 8 minutes or until heated through, turning and brushing with glaze occasionally. Yield: 8 servings.

Savannah's First Day of School and New Dress

This is what is in her back pack for her first day of school!

About an hour and a half before we went outside to wait for the bus Savannah had an accident and she had to change out of her new dress that I had made for her the day before. Poor Savannah, she was so sad that she couldn't wear her "hoo hoo princess dress," anymore. The dress has owls on it so that is what she calls it! But anyway, this is Savannah eating her lunch!

We made it one day without her crown or pirate hat! It's a miracle!
She's so stubborn! LOL
