Savannah's Update

Savannah's test came back positive for an infection. She is having an ultrasound of her kidneys and the VCUG test, which I think they have to put her under for done Monday morning.

She hasn't had a temperature in a while. I think the antibiotics are really helping! Thank you everyone, for your love and prayers.

Bridal Party Sneak Peek

Meagan and I have been friends since kindergarten. We were always extremely shy and quiet at school but, everyone who really knew us knew differently! LOL! In October, she is getting married to the love of her life and she has asked me to be her maid of honer! I'm am so excited! This is just a little sneak peak for everyone and for Meagan of the stuff that I am making for her bridal party. More to come in October! I hope you like it Meagan!

Pork with Watermelon Salsa

Pork with Watermelon Salsa

Ingredients

• 1 cup seeded chopped watermelon
• 1/2 cup chopped strawberries
• 1/2 cup chopped kiwifruit
• 1/4 cup chopped peaches
• 3 tablespoons lime juice
• 4 teaspoons honey
• 1/2 teaspoon grated lime peel
• 1 to 2 mint leaves, chopped
• 1/2 cup peach preserves
• 3 pork tenderloins (3/4 pound each)

Directions

• For salsa, in a small bowl, combine the fruit, lime juice, honey,
• lime peel and mint; set aside. In a saucepan or microwave, heat the
• preserves for 1 minute.

• Using long-handled tongs, moisten a paper towel with cooking oil and
• lightly coat the grill rack. Prepare grill for indirect heat using a
• drip pan. Place pork over drip pan and grill, covered, over indirect
• medium-hot heat for 15 minutes. Turn; brush with some of the
• preserves. Grill 10-15 minutes longer or until juices run clear and
• a meat thermometer reads 160°, basting occasionally with
• preserves. Serve with salsa. Yield: 6 servings (2 cups salsa).

I always double the Watermelon salsa.This meal is so delicious! My family and I love it! I even use the watermelon salsa recipe for fruit salad.Enjoy!

Savannah at the doctors office

I took Savannah into the doctors tonight because, her fever had gone back up to 104.8. The doctor had her give a urine sample by using the bag. I really hate how traumatic that is for her. Luckily, she went within about 10 minutes. They think she has a kidney infection. They gave her two shots of antibiotics. It was so sad.She just wanted me to hold her. Tomorrow night we will start her on oral antibiotics and if her test comes back positive, they will have us go take her to have ultrasounds of her kidneys and have a VCUG test for reflux.

Right now, Savannah is just very lethargic and has a low fever. She still says shes she's ok whenever we ask her how she is doing. She was very brave tonight! We love her so much. I hope everything will turn out ok.

DoTerra Essential Oils Box

I love my talented husband! He made one of these boxes for my sister-in-law and one for me! Isn't it beautiful! He is so amazing!!! They're for us to store our DoTerra Essential Oils.There are 49 slots for oils.

On a side note, Savannah is still sick but is doing better. Her fever comes and goes. She is still laying on the coach, and doesn't move much. We will see how she is tomorrow.

Savannah Sick 2

It's 1:08A.M. Savannah, after trying to fall asleep over and over again woke up shaking telling me something over and over again. The only words I could make out were Savannah, stairs, black, water. I guessed that that meant that Savannah wanted to go upstairs and lay on the coach, with water in the black water bottle. So here we are, Savannah on the upstairs coach, with a blanket, a cover for the coach (just in case), her blues clues, blue care bear,her pillow, her princess crown( I had to dig through the toy buckets to find a substitute for her broken one, watching Blues Clues, soccer again. She of course had to have the lights on and have ice in her water. I am glad she didn't ask for milk again though!

There it is again that catchy song that I probaly won't ever get out of my head. LOL! "I'm a circle circle circle woowoo...."LOL! Her temperature is down to 101.9! She hasn't thrown up yesterday or today! Every once in a while she will yell bucket! She says it a few times before we can figure out what she is saying and then we jump for it. She spits into it again and again for a few minutes. When she first did this I had to try not to laugh. I feel really bad but, it was just so random. You would have to see it. That sounds awful. I know she must have felt like she was going to throw up.

I think she is feeling a little better right now!

Our Savannah is Sick

Tuesday, My brother Nathan came to stay with us for a few days, after just getting off his Ogden, Spanish speaking mission a week ago. Wednesday, we went to go visit our grandparents. Most of the time Savannah sat starring out at the window. She was shaking and burning up. We went home and, I took her temperature. It was 104.5. It has never been that high before. Then she started throwing up. I hate it when she throws up! It really scares Savannah.

Savannah's temperature has been from 103 to 105, Wednesday and Thursday. We have been giving her Tylenol, pedilite, and milk. She hasn't eaten anything since Wednesday at breakfast. It is so sad! She looks so miserable. Every time we ask her if she is ok she always says "I'm okay." Xander has been his monster self. LOL! But, he is so congested, and getting a little cough. I've been sick from my antibiotics. I had to have a root canal. I'm allergic to penicillin, so I am taking Endomycin. It makes me so sick.

Yesterday, Nathan left for school. He probably thinks we are the most boring people ever. Court took Savannah to the doctors yesterday afternoon. I couldn't go because, I had to go have my root canal done. At the doctors, they did a strep test and it came up negative. The doctor told Court he thinks she has either a virus or and infection in her intestines and to just keep giving her fluids and keep doing what we are doing. If she isn't better by Monday, we are going to take her in again. In the meantime I've been doing lots laundry, reading books to Savannah and Xander, (Savannah loves for me to read Fairies,Mermaids, and Princesses over and over!) I think I could preform all 6 of the On Demand, Blues Clues episodes word for word and every song perfectly! Today Savannah is doing better I think.Tonight, she is sitting up on the coach! We still haven't gotten her to eat though. Her temperature keeps going up and down. It was normal for about an hour but then, went back up. I hope she gets better soon! I hate seeing her so sick. She even turned down Popsicles.
On the up side... For the first time in months I am caught up on laundry! Hopefully, tomorrow I can get out and go to the Womens Expo!
